Pepper spray attack on beauty contestant
The Porto Rico beauty contestant Ingrid Marie Rivera put on a smiling face and went on to win the beauty pageant, she will now represent her country in the Miss Universe competition. But during the competition, she had to strip off her clothes and ice down her face / body to fight the reaction to pepper spray that was apparantly applied to her clothing and makeup. Officials have promissed to get to the bottom of the attempted sabotage. In the past Puerto Rico has produced five Miss Universe winners, so they take the competition very seriously.

Prince Charles attends the whirling Dervish dance
Prince Charles and his wife Camilla attended the whirling dervishes dance during their recent trip to Turkey. They also visited the mausoleum of the 13th-century poet Mavlana Jalal al-Din al-Rumi, who is considered to be the father of Sufism.

Hanging coffins of Sagada in Philippines
Located 275 km. north of Manila, Sagada is famous for its "hanging coffins". This is a traditional way of burying people that is not in use anymore. The forebears of the current residents practiced an unusual burial practice by hanging and stacking coffins, hewed from tree trunks, in the limestone karst cliffs and caves near town.

World tallest building / structure
Burj Dubai, worlds tallest building & tallest free-standing structure is to reaching way over 1,822 feet when its consturction is to end in 2008. The final size is still a secret as it is competing with other constructions in progress in the far east. Still The Burj Dubai surpassed Canadas Toronto-based CN Tower, which at 1,822 feet had been the worlds tallest free-standing structure since 1976. (see also the video at end of the post)

Elvis Forbes richest dead celebrity!
It was reported today Elvis Presley earned $49 million in the past 12 months and has reclaimed the No. 1 spot on Forbes.coms list of richest Celebrities. Presley passed away in1977 but his estate generates millions from music royalties, and licensing deals as well as tourism at Graceland, and Elives mansion in Memphis.
